Lancelin
At this kitesurf spot In the south part of the lagoon you will find excellent flat water from 0.3-2.0m deep. Outside on the reef is a slowly breaking wave, which can be huge (up to 5.0m), but it does not create a tube. Lancelin is a long white beach, with lots of room.
The weather ranges from hot in summer (42°C) to mildly cold (4°C) in winter, which implies that you can enjoy terrific weather almost all year round. In summer: warm water, no wetsuit. In winter: cold water, a long wetsuit is needed for kiteboarding.
In Australia's ummer (Nov-Mar) it is the best time to kitesurf in Perth. Summer starts in December and finishes in March. During the summer Perth gets the Infamous 'Fremantle Doctor' the best wind on earth. This makes Lancelin ideal for kitesurfing. It starts blowing reliably between noon, and 3pm. The winds are somewhere between 15-25 knots. During the winter time you can kite some days too. In winter the winds are quite strong and gusty for kiteboarding. One of Australia's best kitesurfing spots.
