Great kitesurfing spot with flat water on a river. It has shallow access too. The Perth area enjoys warm weather and water from November till March. Enjoy terrific weather conditions almost all year round! Rash shirt is needed to keep the sun off. The weather ranges from hot in summer (42°C) to mildly cold (4°C) in winter.
6 days out of 7 have a 15-25 knot sea breeze during summer season. The kitesurf spot is best on days with south-west sea breezes. Summer is a great time to kite in Perth. Summer starts in December and finishes in March. During the summer Perth gets the infamous 'Fremantle Doctor', `the most consistent wind in the world, making it ideal kiteboarding conditions. It's just like clockwork, coming in between noon and 3pm, giving you wind somewhere between 15-25 knots average a day. You maybe able to get some days in during the winter time. However the winds are strong, gusty, and squally.
