Nice lagoon for kitesurfing, with small waves on the reef of about 1 meter. Flat water in the lagoon itself. Sandy beach, very wide at low tide and a bit small at high tide. Always enough room for launching. Keep eyes open for the coconut trees. Located exactly on the equator. Temperature around 30°C all year round. Water is warm, there is no need go kiteboarding with a wetsuit. Northeast monsoon, December to March. During these months it is blowing about 3-4 days a week. Mostly 12 to 18 knots, with days at 20+. Wind is side-onshore. Windy season is from November till March. Bintan is 45 minutes with ferry from Singapore. Best kitesurf spot close by.

Trikora
Very flat water, a bit of wind swell behind the little island. Some small rocks in the water. Nice sandy kite beach. Plenty of space for launching and landing your kite. It's a thermal wind that blows with about 12-16 knots 3-4 days a week from August to September.
